1. What Is the Bank of Baroda WMS Recruitment 2026?
The Bank of Baroda WMS Recruitment 2026 is a contractual hiring drive for 837 experienced wealth management professionals under Advertisement No. BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2026/20, with online applications open from 4 November 2026 to 24 November 2026. It is a lateral-hire drive, not an entry-level bank exam: every one of the five positions demands between 3 and 12 years of post-qualification experience in wealth management, investment advisory or portfolio management.
The numbers are lopsided by design. 791 of the 837 posts (94.5%) are for Senior Relationship Manager (Deputy Manager) — the client-facing role that manages Affluent and HNI portfolios. The remaining 46 posts form a thin leadership layer: 35 Territory Heads, 8 Group Heads, 2 Investment Product Managers and a single Head Investment. That works out to roughly one Territory Head for every 22–23 Relationship Managers, which tells you how Bank of Baroda intends to structure its expanded wealth desk.
Most coverage of this notification stops at the vacancy table. This guide goes further: it maps which certifications are actually mandatory for each post, shows why age relaxation does not apply to two of the five positions, explains how the 5+5-year contract interacts with the age-60 exit, and lists the salary documents you must have ready before you open the application form.
Editorial Note: This article is prepared by the Vacancy Vedika Editorial Team from the official Bank of Baroda notification dated 4 November 2026. All eligibility figures, dates, fees and reservation numbers are taken from the 24-page advertisement. Where we draw an inference (for example, date-of-birth windows), we say so. Always cross-check with the official notification before applying, as the Bank may issue a corrigendum on its careers page.
Key Takeaway: 837 contractual WMS posts, 791 of them for Senior Relationship Manager; minimum 3 years of RM experience; apply online by 24 November 2026; no fixed pay scale — salary is negotiated against your current CTC.
2. About Bank of Baroda and Its Wealth Management Vertical
Bank of Baroda is a public sector bank headquartered in Vadodara, Gujarat, with its corporate office in Mumbai. The Bank marks its 119th Foundation Year in 2026, a milestone visible on every page of this notification. Its Wealth Management Services (WMS) department sells and advises on mutual funds, Portfolio Management Services (PMS), Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), Specialised Investment Funds (SIFs), bonds, structured products and insurance to Affluent, HNI and UHNI clients.
The scale of this drive — roughly eight times the March 2026 WMS intake — signals that the Bank is building a dedicated, branch-aligned wealth sales force rather than relying on general branch staff to cross-sell investment products.

3. Important Dates and Deadlines
You have a 21-day application window, from 4 November 2026 to 24 November 2026, and both the form and the fee must be completed by the closing date. Every eligibility condition — age, qualification and experience — is measured as on the cut-off date of 1 November 2026, which falls three days before the window opens.
| Event | Date |
|---|---|
| Notification Issued | 4 November 2026 |
| Eligibility Cut-Off Date (age, qualification, experience) | 1 November 2026 |
| Online Registration Opens | 4 November 2026 |
| Last Date to Apply and Pay Fee | 24 November 2026 |
| Online Test / Psychometric Test (if conducted) | To be notified via call letter |
| Personal Interview | To be notified via call letter |
Deadline Alert: Your registration is complete only when the fee payment succeeds. A filled form with a failed payment is treated as invalid. The Bank explicitly disclaims responsibility for server congestion near the closing date, so aim to finish by 20 November 2026.
4. Vacancy Details and Reservation Analysis
Bank of Baroda has notified 837 provisional vacancies across five positions, of which 346 (41.3%) are Unreserved and 35 (4.2%) are horizontally reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities. The Bank reserves the right to increase or reduce these numbers, so treat them as indicative.

PwD (Horizontal) Reservation
PwD seats are carved out of the category totals above, not added to them. Only Group Head, Territory Head and Senior Relationship Manager carry PwD seats.
| Position | LD | HI | VI | d&e | Total PwD |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Group Head (AVP II) | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 1 |
| Head Investment (AVP II) | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Territory Head (AVP I) | 1 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 2 |
| Investment Product Manager (AVP I) | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Senior Relationship Manager (DM) | 8 | 8 | 8 | 8 | 32 |
| Total | 10 | 9 | 8 | 8 | 35 |
LD stands for Locomotor Disability, HI for Hearing Impaired and VI for Visually Impaired. The d&e column covers categories under Section 34(1)(d) and (e) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 — autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability, mental illness, and multiple disabilities among VI, HI and LD.
What the Reservation Pattern Tells You
- Senior Relationship Manager is the only post where every category has substantial seats — 213 for OBC, 118 for SC, 79 for EWS and 59 for ST.
- Head Investment and Investment Product Manager are fully Unreserved. This matters for age relaxation (see Section 8).
- Group Head has no ST or EWS seat, so ST and EWS candidates compete for this post only against Unreserved roster points.
- There is no Ex-Servicemen reservation in the officers' cadre, although ESM candidates still get a fee concession and age relaxation where roster points exist.
5. Post-Wise Eligibility Criteria
The only mandatory academic qualification for all five posts is graduation in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India, a government body or AICTE. An MBA, PGDM, CFP or CFA is preferred, not required. What actually separates eligible from ineligible candidates is the experience clause and, for three posts, a mandatory certification.
Group Head — AVP II (8 posts)
- Age: 35 to 50 years
- Mandatory: Graduation in any discipline
- Experience: Minimum 12 years as Relationship Manager in wealth management, investment advisory or portfolio management
- Of those 12 years, at least 5 as Team Lead managing Relationship Managers
- Preferred: MBA/PGDM (2-year full-time), CFP, CFA; NISM V-A, V-D, XIII, XXI-A and IRDAI IC38
Head Investment — AVP II (1 post)
- Age: 35 to 50 years
- Mandatory: Graduation plus any one of NISM V-A, V-D, XIII or XXI-A
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in direct investment-related roles
- Of those 10 years, at least 5 in a senior leadership role handling products (MF, SIF, AIF, PMS), research and advisory, SEBI compliance or business development
- Preferred: MBA/PGDM, CFP, CFA; IRDAI IC38
Territory Head — AVP I (35 posts)
- Age: 28 to 42 years
- Mandatory: Graduation in any discipline
- Experience: Minimum 8 years as Relationship Manager in wealth management, investment advisory or portfolio management
- No separate team-lead years are specified
- Preferred: MBA/PGDM, CFP, CFA; NISM V-A, V-D, XIII, XXI-A and IRDAI IC38
Investment Product Manager — AVP I (2 posts)
- Age: 26 to 45 years
- Mandatory: Graduation plus any one of NISM V-A, V-D, XIII or XXI-A
- Experience: Minimum 5 years as Relationship Manager in wealth management
- Of those 5 years, at least 3 as an Investment Counsellor in wealth management
- Preferred: MBA/PGDM, CFP, CFA; IRDAI IC38
Senior Relationship Manager — Deputy Manager (791 posts)
- Age: 24 to 35 years
- Mandatory: Graduation plus NISM V-A / NISM V-D and/or IRDAI IC38
- Experience: Minimum 3 years as Relationship Manager in wealth management, investment advisory or portfolio management
- Preferred: MBA/PGDM, CFP, CFA; NISM XIII and NISM XXI-A
For every post, qualifying experience must have been earned with a public, private or foreign bank, a broking or securities firm, an Asset Management Company, or another entity in the financial services sector. You may apply for only one position; if you submit more than one, only your latest completed application survives and the fee paid on the others is forfeited.
The online form asks for your graduation or post-graduation percentage to two decimal places. No minimum percentage is prescribed for these posts, but the figure must be accurate. CGPA holders must convert to a percentage and later produce the university's conversion certificate. Fractions are never rounded up: 59.99% is treated as below 60%.
Our Bank of Baroda WMS Eligibility Criteria 2026 guide works through the post-by-post experience test with real career profiles — an AMC distribution executive, a private-bank RM, a broking-house advisor — and shows which ones clear the bar.6. Which NISM and IRDAI Certifications Are Mandatory?
Certifications are mandatory for three posts and only preferred for two. Group Head and Territory Head candidates can apply with graduation alone, while Senior Relationship Manager, Head Investment and Investment Product Manager candidates must hold specified NISM or IRDAI certifications by the cut-off date of 1 November 2026. This distinction is missing from most summaries of the notification.
| Certification | Group Head | Head Investment | Territory Head | Inv. Product Mgr | Senior RM |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| NISM Series V-A | Preferred | Mandatory (any one) | Preferred | Mandatory (any one) | Mandatory (V-A or V-D, and/or IC38) |
| NISM Series V-D | Preferred | Mandatory (any one) | Preferred | Mandatory (any one) | Mandatory (V-A or V-D, and/or IC38) |
| NISM Series XIII | Preferred | Mandatory (any one) | Preferred | Mandatory (any one) | Preferred |
| NISM Series XXI-A | Preferred | Mandatory (any one) | Preferred | Mandatory (any one) | Preferred |
| IRDAI IC38 | Preferred | Preferred | Preferred | Preferred | Mandatory (V-A or V-D, and/or IC38) |
| CFP / CFA / 2-year MBA or PGDM | Preferred | Preferred | Preferred | Preferred | Preferred |
How to Read the Senior RM Clause
The notification phrases the Senior Relationship Manager requirement as "NISM V-A / NISM V-D and/or IRDA IC38". The most natural reading is that a candidate needs at least one of these three. Holding NISM V-A alone, NISM V-D alone, or IRDAI IC38 alone should satisfy the mandatory clause; holding a NISM certificate and IC38 is stronger. Because the wording is not fully unambiguous, candidates with only IC38 should keep an eye on the careers page for any clarification.
A Likely Typo to Be Aware Of
For Head Investment and Investment Product Manager, the notification lists "NISM Series XX-I-A". No NISM series by that exact name is commonly known, and the Group Head and Territory Head rows of the same notification list "NISM Series-XXI-A". We read this as a typographical slip for NISM Series XXI-A, the certification associated with Portfolio Management Services distribution. Treat this as our inference, not an official clarification.
Warning: Certificate validity matters after selection too. Annexure I requires Senior Relationship Managers to keep their certifications and licences valid for the entire engagement. An expired NISM certificate on the cut-off date can make you ineligible; letting it lapse later can breach your contract.
7. What Work Experience Counts — and What Does Not
Only post-qualification experience (earned after graduation) in a relationship-manager or investment role counts, and the notification excludes three kinds of experience outright. Getting this wrong is the fastest way to be rejected at document verification after clearing every earlier stage.
| Experience Type | Counts? | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| RM / wealth / investment advisory role in a bank, broker, securities firm or AMC | Yes | This is the core requirement for every post |
| Similar role in another financial services company | Yes | Explicitly permitted by the notification |
| Any stint shorter than 6 months in one organisation (as on 01.11.2026) | No | Short job-hops are ignored — they can pull you below the minimum years |
| Clerical cadre experience | No | Bank clerks who moved into sales roles count only from the date of moving out of the clerical cadre |
| Teaching and training experience | No | Faculty roles at NISM-prep institutes or training academies are excluded |
| Experience before graduation | No | The clause says post-qualification |
For Group Head, the five Team Lead years must sit inside the 12 total years, not on top of them. The same nesting logic applies to Head Investment (5 of 10 years in senior leadership) and Investment Product Manager (3 of 5 years as Investment Counsellor). Your experience letters should state your designation and dates clearly enough for the Bank to verify this nesting.
Pro Tip: Before applying, list every employer with start and end dates, delete any stint under six months, and subtract any clerical-cadre period. If the remaining total is still above your post's minimum on 1 November 2026, you are eligible on experience.
8. Age Limit, Date-of-Birth Window and Relaxation
Age limits range from 24 to 50 years depending on the post, calculated as on 1 November 2026. Upper-age relaxation exists for SC/ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), PwD and Ex-Servicemen, but the notification adds a condition most candidates miss: relaxation applies only to posts where a reservation roster point exists for that category.
Base Age Limits and Indicative Date-of-Birth Window
| Position | Min Age | Max Age | Indicative DOB Window (General) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Group Head (AVP II) | 35 | 50 | 02.11.1975 to 01.11.1991 |
| Head Investment (AVP II) | 35 | 50 | 02.11.1975 to 01.11.1991 |
| Territory Head (AVP I) | 28 | 42 | 02.11.1983 to 01.11.1998 |
| Investment Product Manager (AVP I) | 26 | 45 | 02.11.1980 to 01.11.2000 |
| Senior Relationship Manager (DM) | 24 | 35 | 02.11.1990 to 01.11.2002 |
The date-of-birth windows are our calculation using the convention common in public-sector bank notifications. The notification itself states only minimum and maximum ages, and the Bank's interpretation will prevail.
Category-Wise Relaxation
| Category | Relaxation (Years) |
|---|---|
| SC / ST | 5 |
| OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) | 3 |
| PwD | Gen/EWS: 10 | OBC: 13 | SC/ST: 15 |
| Ex-Servicemen, Commissioned Officers incl. ECOs/SSCOs (min. 5 years' service) | Gen/EWS: 5 | OBC: 8 | SC/ST: 10 |
Where Relaxation Actually Applies (Roster-Point Check)
| Position | SC | ST | OBC | PwD |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Group Head | Yes (1 seat) | No seat | Yes (2 seats) | LD only (1 seat) |
| Head Investment | No seat | No seat | No seat | No seat |
| Territory Head | Yes (5) | Yes (2) | Yes (9) | LD and HI (1 each) |
| Investment Product Manager | No seat | No seat | No seat | No seat |
| Senior Relationship Manager | Yes (118) | Yes (59) | Yes (213) | LD, HI, VI, d&e (8 each) |
Read literally, this means the age limits of 50 for Head Investment and 45 for Investment Product Manager are hard ceilings for every candidate, because both posts are entirely Unreserved.
Effective Upper Age for Senior Relationship Manager
Because every category has roster points for Senior Relationship Manager, its relaxation table works in full:
| Category | Upper Age Limit |
|---|---|
| General / EWS | 35 |
| OBC (NCL) | 38 |
| SC / ST | 40 |
| PwD — General / EWS | 45 |
| PwD — OBC | 48 |
| PwD — SC / ST | 50 |
| Ex-Servicemen — General / EWS | 40 |
| Ex-Servicemen — OBC | 43 |
| Ex-Servicemen — SC / ST | 45 |
Note: OBC candidates in the creamy layer, or whose caste is not on the Central List, must apply as General and get no relaxation. Your category cannot be changed after registration, and certificates supporting relaxation may be demanded at the interview or even after the process ends.
9. Contract Tenure and the Age-60 Exit Rule
Every post is a fixed-term contract of 5 years, extendable at the Bank's discretion by up to 5 more years, but the engagement ends automatically at age 60 or at contract expiry, whichever comes first. Selected candidates join as Officers on Contractual Basis in bands OCB1 to OCB4 and sign an employment contract; this is not a permanent, pensionable bank officer post.
| Age at Joining | Initial Term Ends At | Maximum With Extension | Effective Ceiling |
|---|---|---|---|
| 35 (top General age for Senior RM) | 40 | 45 | Full 10 years possible |
| 42 (top General age for Territory Head) | 47 | 52 | Full 10 years possible |
| 50 (top age for Group Head / Head Investment) | 55 | 60 | Exactly 10 years — no margin |
| 53 (OBC Group Head with relaxation) | 58 | 60 (capped) | Only 7 years possible |
The practical point: a candidate who enters near the upper age limit with relaxation for a leadership post may not get the full 10-year horizon. Factor that into your salary negotiation, because the shorter tenure reduces the total value of the engagement.
Before You Resign: Renewal after the first 5 years depends on satisfactory performance and the Bank's discretion. It is not automatic. Employees of government, PSU or nationalised banks must also produce a No Objection Certificate at interview and a relieving letter at joining.
10. Salary and Remuneration
The notification prescribes no fixed pay scale or pay matrix level. Remuneration is negotiated individually on four inputs: your qualifications, your experience, your overall suitability, and your last drawn salary, benchmarked against the market for each position. Any figure you see quoted elsewhere as the "Bank of Baroda WMS salary" is an estimate, not a notified number.
Pay Structure
This explains an unusual requirement in the application. The Bank asks for a document showing the break-up of your CTC and your latest salary slips at the stage of submitting the online form, not just at interview. Your current package is the anchor for the offer, so the documents you upload effectively open the negotiation.
- Get an HR-issued CTC break-up letter that separates fixed pay from variable pay, incentives and employer contributions.
- Upload your three most recent salary slips so the fixed component is verifiable.
- If a substantial part of your income is sales incentive, keep the payout statements ready to justify it at interview.
Pension Note: The notification does not mention pension, NPS, DA, HRA or other allowances. Because these are contractual OCB engagements rather than regular officer posts, do not assume the benefits of a permanent bank officer. Clarify the full benefit structure at the offer stage.
11. Roles and Responsibilities by Position
Annexure I of the notification defines each post's key result areas. Bank of Baroda may add to or modify them at any time. The table below condenses each role into what you will actually be measured on.
| Position | Core Mandate | Key Metrics | Reports / Leads |
|---|---|---|---|
| Group Head (AVP II) | Sales strategy for a region; HNI and UHNI acquisition; client events and partnerships | AUM growth, revenue, cost-to-revenue ratio, digital wealth adoption | Leads Territory Heads |
| Head Investment (AVP II) | Bank-wide investment product strategy and research; product due diligence; IFSC and offshore propositions for NRI clients | AUM, product profitability, penetration, governance | Leads Product, Research and Investment teams |
| Territory Head (AVP I) | Territory sales strategy; RM coaching; portfolio reviews and investor awareness programmes | Business pipeline, RM productivity, complaint turnaround | Leads Relationship Managers |
| Investment Product Manager (AVP I) | Product lifecycle across MF, PMS, AIF, SIF, offshore funds and bonds; research notes and model portfolios; RM training | Product adoption, AUM, RM productivity | Supports Head Investment |
| Senior Relationship Manager (DM) | Manage Affluent and HNI portfolio; financial need analysis and risk profiling; acquire New-to-Wealth clients | AUM, TRV, CASA, investment revenue, client retention | Individual contributor |
Every role carries a compliance load. The Senior Relationship Manager role specifically requires product-suitability assessment and prevention of mis-selling under the Reserve Bank of India's Responsible Business Conduct Directions. The investment roles must comply with rules issued by RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, IFSCA, AMFI, and laws such as FEMA and PMLA. Interviewers are likely to probe this: be ready to explain how you document client needs and informed consent.
12. Application Fee
The application fee is ₹850 for General, EWS and OBC candidates and ₹175 (intimation charges only) for SC, ST, PwD, Ex-Servicemen, Dependents of Ex-Servicemen and all women candidates. Both amounts include GST; payment gateway charges are extra. Some early summaries online show different amounts, so rely on the notification figures given here.
| Category | Fee (incl. GST) | Plus |
|---|---|---|
| General (UR) / EWS / OBC — Male | ₹850 | Payment gateway charges |
| SC / ST / PwD / ESM / DESM | ₹175 | Payment gateway charges |
| Women (any category) | ₹175 | Payment gateway charges |
- Payment modes: Debit card, credit card, internet banking or UPI through the integrated gateway.
- Non-refundable: The fee is not returned even if no test is held or you are not shortlisted.
- Duplicate payments: The Bank does not refund extra payments if you pay more than once.
- Failed transaction: Register again and pay afresh.
13. Selection Process and Merit Rules
Selection is primarily shortlisting followed by a Personal Interview. The Bank may also hold an online test, a psychometric test or another assessment. The shortlisting criteria are confidential, and meeting the minimum eligibility does not guarantee an interview call.
The Bank screens applications on qualifications, relevant experience, domain expertise and suitability. It decides the shortlisting ratio internally and will not disclose it.
If held, you need a minimum score in each section and overall. Scores are not shared with shortlisted candidates before the process ends.
This assesses personality, communication, clarity, problem-solving, efficiency and willingness to work anywhere in India.
The qualifying mark is 60% for General and EWS candidates and 55% for other reserved categories. Below this mark you are excluded from the merit list entirely.
Merit combines online test and interview scores where both are held. Missing original documents at interview leads to cancellation.
Three Merit Rules That Change Outcomes
- Tie-break by age: If several candidates score exactly the cut-off mark, they are ranked by age in descending order. Older candidates rank higher.
- Interview is a gate: If you fail the interview qualifying mark, your online test score is disregarded and your interview score is not disclosed.
- Cross-post consideration: The Bank may consider you for a different position from the one you applied for, provided you meet that post's eligibility. A strong Territory Head applicant could be offered a Senior Relationship Manager role, for example.
14. Documents Required at Application and Interview
You need documents at two separate stages: scanned PDFs uploaded with the online form, and originals with self-attested photocopies at the interview. Missing documents at the interview stage disqualify you outright, and the Bank will not accept documents sent separately.
Stage 1 — Upload With the Online Application
| Document | Format | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Resume / Bio-data | PDF, A4, max 500 KB | Mandatory |
| Date of Birth proof (Class 10 marksheet or certificate) | PDF, A4, max 500 KB | Mandatory |
| Educational mark-sheets and certificates | Single combined PDF, max 500 KB | All in one file |
| NISM / IRDAI / other certifications | Mandatory where the post requires them | |
| Work experience certificates | Cover the full qualifying period | |
| CTC break-up and latest salary slips | Basis for salary negotiation | |
| Caste / category certificate | If applicable | |
| PwD certificate | If applicable |
Stage 2 — Originals and Self-Attested Copies at Interview
- Interview call letter and the system-generated application printout
- Date of birth proof and a valid photo ID (PAN, passport, driving licence, Voter ID, Aadhaar with photo, or employee ID). Ration card is not accepted.
- Semester-wise or year-wise mark-sheets and final degree certificate
- Caste certificate in the Government of India format. The caste name must match the Central list letter by letter.
- OBC Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued within one year of the advertisement date
- EWS Income and Asset Certificate in the prescribed format
- Disability certificate from the District Medical Board (Form V or VI under the RPwD Act)
- Ex-Servicemen: service or discharge book, pension payment order and proof of rank
- No Objection Certificate, if you work in government, a PSU, a nationalised bank or a financial institution
- Appointment letters, salary slips and relieving letters proving experience
- Government of India eligibility certificate, for Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan-refugee and PIO candidates
- Name-change proof: Gazette notification, marriage certificate or affidavit, if applicable
15. How to Apply Online
Applications are accepted only online through the Careers section of the Bank of Baroda website, under Current Opportunities. The notification mentions two web addresses, bankofbaroda.bank.in and bankofbaroda.in/Career.htm. The .bank.in domain is the one named for applications and announcements.
Keep a personal email ID and mobile number that will stay active for months. Scan your photo, signature and all PDFs to the required sizes in advance.
Go to the Careers page on the Bank of Baroda website and find the WMS recruitment under Advt. No. BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2026/20.
Complete registration and select a single post. A second application overrides the first, and the first fee is forfeited.
Spell your name exactly as on your certificates and enter percentages to two decimals. Answer the criminal-case and disciplinary-proceedings questions truthfully.
Use the separate upload links and preview each file. Uploaded documents cannot be changed after final submission.
No edits are allowed after you click Submit. Pay through the gateway, then save and print the e-receipt and application form.
The Disclosure Question You Must Not Rush
The form asks whether you have ever faced an FIR, arrest, charge-sheet, conviction, fine or other criminal proceeding, in India or abroad and whether pending or closed. It also asks about any departmental enquiry, disciplinary or vigilance proceeding by any present or past employer, including private employers, and any resignation given while such a proceeding was pending. Disclosure alone does not disqualify you, because the Bank judges each case on its facts. Concealment, however, can cancel your candidature or end your service even after joining.
Our step-by-step How to Apply for Bank of Baroda WMS Recruitment 2026 walkthrough covers the field-by-field form entries, the CTC-document upload, and how to recover from a failed payment without losing your registration.16. Photo, Signature and Document Upload Specifications
The photograph must be 200 × 230 pixels and 20–50 KB, and the signature 140 × 60 pixels and 10–20 KB, both in JPG or JPEG format scanned at a minimum of 200 dpi. Every other document must be a PDF on A4 size, no larger than 500 KB.
| Item | Dimensions | File Size | Format | Key Rule |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Photograph | 200 × 230 px | 20–50 KB | JPG/JPEG | Recent colour passport-style photo on a light background; no caps or dark glasses |
| Signature | 140 × 60 px | 10–20 KB | JPG/JPEG | Black ink on white paper; signature in CAPITAL LETTERS is rejected |
| Documents | A4 page | Max 500 KB | Clear and readable; all educational certificates in one PDF |
Religious headwear is allowed in the photograph provided it does not cover your face. If you wear glasses, make sure there is no glare and your eyes are visible. Your signature must match exactly on the call letter, attendance sheet and all future correspondence; any variation can lead to disqualification.
17. Common Mistakes That Cost Candidates Their Application
Most rejections in lateral bank hiring come from avoidable paperwork errors rather than weak profiles. These are the mistakes this particular notification makes costly:
| Mistake | Consequence | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Counting job stints shorter than 6 months | Experience falls below the minimum at verification | Drop those stints from your calculation |
| Counting clerical-cadre years | Ineligible on experience | Count only from your move into an RM or officer role |
| Applying for Senior RM without NISM V-A, V-D or IC38 | Fails mandatory qualification | Hold the certificate, valid on 01.11.2026 |
| Claiming age relaxation for Head Investment or Investment Product Manager | Overage — no roster point exists | Apply within the base age limit only |
| Applying for two posts | Only the latest application survives; the earlier fee is lost | Pick one post carefully |
| Uploading a vague CTC document | Weak starting point for the salary offer | Upload an HR-signed CTC break-up |
| Using an outdated OBC-NCL certificate | OBC benefit denied | Get one issued within one year of the advertisement date |
| Signing in capital letters | Signature rejected | Use your normal running signature |
| Hiding a closed disciplinary case | Candidature cancelled or service terminated | Disclose fully; disclosure alone is not disqualifying |
| No NOC from a PSU or government employer | Not considered at interview | Request the NOC as soon as you apply |
18. What Changed Since the March 2026 WMS Drive?
This November notification is roughly eight times larger than Bank of Baroda's previous WMS drive, notified in March 2026, which offered 104 posts with applications closing in April 2026. The comparison below uses the March post-wise figures as widely reported at the time; we have not reproduced them from that original PDF.
| Parameter | March 2026 Drive | November 2026 Drive |
|---|---|---|
| Total Posts | 104 | 837 |
| Senior Relationship Manager (DM) | 70 | 791 (about 11× more) |
| Territory Head | 17 (graded AVP II) | 35 (graded AVP I) |
| Group Head (AVP II) | 4 | 8 |
| Wealth Strategist (Investment & Insurance) | 13 | Not offered |
| Head Investment (AVP II) | Not offered | 1 (new) |
| Investment Product Manager (AVP I) | Not offered | 2 (new) |
| Eligibility Cut-Off Date | 1 March 2026 | 1 November 2026 |
- Investment function created: The Wealth Strategist role has given way to a dedicated Head Investment and Investment Product Manager pair, with research, model portfolios and product due diligence written into their mandates.
- Territory Head regraded and widened: The post is now AVP I with an 8-year RM requirement, placing it clearly below the AVP II Group Heads who lead it.
- Senior RM volume: The jump from 70 to 791 seats suggests a branch-level rollout of dedicated wealth RMs rather than a hub-based team.
Key Takeaway: If you applied in March and were not selected, you can apply again. There are nearly eleven times as many Senior RM seats, but check the new age cut-off date of 1 November 2026, which may push some March applicants past the upper limit.

Of these, 346 are Unreserved and 35 are reserved for PwD candidates.
The online application window runs from 4 November 2026 to 24 November 2026. The fee must also be paid by 24 November 2026, because registration is complete only after a successful fee payment.
Yes. Senior Relationship Manager applicants must hold NISM Series V-A or V-D, and/or IRDAI IC38 as on 1 November 2026. Head Investment and Investment Product Manager need any one of NISM V-A, V-D, XIII or XXI-A. For Group Head and Territory Head, certifications are only preferred.
Age limits as on 1 November 2026 are: Senior RM 24 to 35, Territory Head 28 to 42, Investment Product Manager 26 to 45, and Group Head and Head Investment 35 to 50. Relaxation for SC/ST (5 years), OBC-NCL (3), PwD (10 to 15) and Ex-Servicemen applies only to posts that have a roster point for that category.
Read literally, no. The notification allows upper-age relaxation only where a reservation roster point exists for the category. Both these posts are fully Unreserved, so 50 years (Head Investment) and 45 years (Investment Product Manager) act as hard ceilings.
The notification does not fix a pay scale. Remuneration is negotiated on qualifications, experience, suitability and your last drawn salary, benchmarked to the market. That is why applicants must upload a CTC break-up and latest salary slips with the online form.
The fee is ₹850 (incl. GST) for General, EWS and OBC candidates and ₹175 for SC, ST, PwD, Ex-Servicemen, DESM and all women candidates, plus payment gateway charges. It is non-refundable.
No. Selected candidates join as Officers on Contractual Basis (OCB1 to OCB4) for an initial 5 years, extendable by up to 5 more years at the Bank's discretion. The engagement ends at age 60 or on contract expiry, whichever is earlier.
Selection involves application scrutiny and shortlisting, an optional online or psychometric test, and a Personal Interview. The interview qualifying mark is 60% for General/EWS and 55% for reserved categories. Candidates tied at the cut-off are ranked by age, older first.
No. Clerical-cadre experience, teaching and training experience, and any stint shorter than six months in one organisation as on 1 November 2026 are not counted. Only post-graduation experience as a Relationship Manager or in investment roles with banks, brokers, AMCs or financial services firms qualifies.
No. You may apply for only one position. If you submit multiple applications, only the latest completed one is retained and the fee paid for the others is forfeited. The Bank may, however, consider you for another post if you meet its eligibility.
The March 2026 drive offered about 104 posts, including 70 Senior RMs and 13 Wealth Strategists, as reported at the time. The November drive has 837 posts, 791 of them Senior RMs. It drops Wealth Strategist, adds Head Investment and Investment Product Manager, and regrades Territory Head to AVP I.
