1. What Is the DDSCB Cooperative Intern Recruitment 2026?

The Daman & Diu State Co-operative Bank Ltd. (DDSCB) has issued Notification No. 01/2026-27 on 28 October 2026 to engage one Cooperative Intern for Diu District for a fixed term of one year, paying a consolidated ₹25,000 per month. Candidates holding an MBA or equivalent in Marketing, Cooperative, Agri-Business or Rural Development Management, aged 21 to 30 years, must send a plain-paper bio-data with self-attested documents so that it reaches the bank's Head Office in Nani Daman by 5:00 PM on 23 November 2026.

This is not a regular bank job. The seat exists because of the Cooperative Intern Scheme designed by the Ministry of Cooperation, communicated to every State Cooperative Bank (StCB) and District Central Cooperative Bank (DCCB) through NABARD circular EC No. 40/IDD-01/2023-2024 dated 15 March 2024, and funded by the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) from the Cooperative Education Fund. The one-page DDSCB notice does not repeat the scheme rules; it simply points candidates to that NABARD circular. Our guide brings both documents together and adds what neither of them spells out — the age cut-off ambiguity, how a Diu intern works in a bank that has no affiliated PACS, and how to dispatch an offline application so it is not lost between Diu and Daman.

Editorial Note: This article was prepared by the Vacancy Vedika editorial team from DDSCB Notification No. 01/2026-27 (28.10.2026), the attached NABARD circular dated 15.03.2024, DDSCB's earlier intern notice No. 02/2025-26 (03.03.2026), the bank's own "About Us" disclosures, and published reporting on the national progress of the scheme. Wherever the official documents are silent, we say so clearly and label our analysis as interpretation. Always treat the bank's notice as the final authority.

Key Takeaway: One seat, one year, ₹25,000 a month, posting in Diu, application by post to Nani Daman, physical receipt by 23 November 2026, 5:00 PM. It is an internship under a central scheme — not employment and not a route to a permanent bank post.

2. About the Daman & Diu State Co-operative Bank

The Daman & Diu State Co-operative Bank is the apex cooperative bank of the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. It was carved out of the Goa State Co-operative Bank with effect from 1 April 2017, after the Goa bank's Daman and Diu branches were separated so that the Goa bank could function purely as Goa's apex bank rather than as a multi-state cooperative bank.

Organization Profile

  • Full Name: The Daman & Diu State Co-operative Bank Ltd.
  • Type: State Cooperative Bank (StCB), licensed by the Reserve Bank of India — Licence No. Dos. RO (AH). REG/LIC.S-2187/04.36.000/2023-24 dated 07 March 2024
  • Formed: 1 April 2017 (bifurcated from Goa State Co-operative Bank)
  • Area of Operation: Entire UT of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu
  • Network: 5 branches in Daman region; 4 branches and 1 Regional Office in Diu region
  • Affiliated DCCBs / PACS: None, as stated by the bank itself
  • Head Office: H. No. 14/54, 1st Floor, Dilip Nagar, Nani Daman – 396210
  • Phone: 0260-2255984, 0260-2255985
  • Administration Email: adm@ddscbl.bank.in
  • Website: ddscbl.bank.in

The most important structural fact for an intern applicant is the last one in the network list. In most states, cooperative credit runs on three tiers — the StCB at the top, DCCBs at district level, and Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) in villages. DDSCB operates without the lower two tiers: it lends and takes deposits directly through its own branches. That changes the day-to-day work of a Cooperative Intern in Diu, which we analyse in Section 10.

Website Typo in the Notice: The notification prints the bank's website as "ddcsbl.bank.in". The bank's working domain — the one hosting its PDFs and its About Us page, and matching the email address in the letterhead — is ddscbl.bank.in (s-c-b-l, not c-s-b-l). Type the address carefully when checking for updates.

3. Important Dates and Deadline Rules

The only hard deadline is the receipt deadline: the application must be physically at the Nani Daman Head Office by 5:00 PM on 23 November 2026. The notice uses the word "reach", so the date you post the envelope is irrelevant — late arrivals are rejected without consideration.

4. Vacancy Details and Re-Advertisement History

There is exactly one Cooperative Intern position, earmarked for Diu District. The notification does not provide any category-wise reservation (UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS), which is normal for a single-seat, scheme-funded internship.

How Often Has DDSCB Advertised This Seat?

This is at least the third public call DDSCB has issued for a Cooperative Intern since the scheme began. Tracking the bank's own notices and archived job listings gives this timeline:

NoticeIssuedLast DatePosting
2025 cycle (no. as listed by job portals)22 May 20259 June 20251 Intern
Notification No. 02/2025-263 March 202624 March 20261 Intern, Diu District
Notification No. 01/2026-2728 October 202623 November 20261 Intern, Diu District

The March 2026 and October 2026 notices are word-for-word identical apart from the number and dates, and both target Diu. The documents do not explain why the bank is advertising again. Possible readings include the earlier round not producing a suitable candidate, a selected intern not joining or leaving early, or the bank starting a fresh annual cycle as the NABARD circular directs. Our interpretation: a Diu-based seat requiring a niche MBA attracts a thin applicant pool, which means a genuinely eligible candidate may face much less competition here than in a large-state intake.

Roughly six in ten of the planned positions had been filled by late 2025, according to the Minister of Cooperation's reply in Parliament. Daman & Diu, with no DCCB tier, can only ever hire a single intern — which is why every DDSCB notice is for one seat.

Because this recruitment has only one seat and no category split, we have not planned a separate vacancy-breakdown page; instead, check our DDSCB Cooperative Intern Eligibility 2026 guide to see whether your MBA specialisation, age and computer skills actually put you in the running for it.

5. Eligibility: Which MBA Specialisations Qualify?

To be eligible, a candidate needs an MBA or equivalent in one of four specialisations — Marketing Management, Cooperative Management, Agri-Business Management or Rural Development Management — plus proficiency in computers. Both conditions come from the NABARD circular; the DDSCB notice adds no further requirement.

Cooperative Intern (Diu District)

  • MBA or equivalent in Marketing / Cooperative / Agri-Business / Rural Development Management
  • Proficiency in computers (essential qualification)
  • Age between 21 and 30 years
  • No prior work experience prescribed
  • No domicile restriction stated in the notice

Specialisation Eligibility Matrix

The circular names specialisations but does not define "equivalent". The table below classifies common degree profiles. The "Confirm first" rows are our interpretation, not an official ruling — write to the bank before relying on them.

Your DegreeStatusReasoning
MBA (Marketing)EligibleNamed in the circular
MBA (Agri-Business) / PGDM-ABMEligibleNamed; PGDM-ABM is the standard equivalent
MBA (Rural Development / Rural Management)EligibleNamed; "Rural Management" is the usual programme title
MBA (Cooperative Management)EligibleNamed
AICTE-approved PGDM with Marketing majorVery likely eligiblePGDM is widely accepted as MBA-equivalent in public notices
Dual specialisation (e.g., Finance + Marketing)Likely eligibleOne named specialisation is present; carry the marksheet showing elective credits
MBA (Finance) onlyConfirm firstNot named; strict reading excludes it
MBA (HR) onlyConfirm firstNot named; strict reading excludes it
M.Com / MA (Economics)UnlikelyNot management degrees
Final-semester MBA, result awaitedConfirm firstNotice asks for certificates "in support of" eligibility; no provision for awaited results is mentioned

How to Prove "Proficiency in Computers"

No certificate type is prescribed, so the burden is on you to show it convincingly. Strong evidence includes a certificate course (for example, a recognised diploma in computer applications), MBA coursework in MIS, analytics or Excel-based modelling shown on your marksheet, and a line in your bio-data listing specific tools — spreadsheets, presentation software, accounting packages, and any experience with digital banking or ERP systems. Because the intern's core brief includes helping cooperatives with computerisation, concrete examples carry more weight than a generic "MS Office" line.

Key Takeaway: If your MBA specialisation is Marketing, Agri-Business, Rural Development or Cooperative Management, you meet the degree condition. Finance-only and HR-only graduates should seek written clarification from the bank before investing in the application.

For a post-wise breakdown of the qualification rules, the documents that prove each condition, and how to word a clarification request to the bank, read our DDSCB Cooperative Intern Eligibility Criteria 2026 guide.

6. Age Limit and the Missing Cut-Off Date

The age band is 21 to 30 years. Neither the DDSCB notice nor the NABARD circular states the date on which age is calculated, and neither mentions any age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD or ex-servicemen candidates. Other State Cooperative Banks filled this gap themselves — for example, Maharashtra's apex bank fixed 1 June 2026 for its own intern intake — but DDSCB has not.

Safe Date-of-Birth Window

The two most likely reference dates are the notification date and the closing date. Applying the conservative convention used in cooperative bank notices (minimum 21 completed, not older than 30 on the reference date), the windows are:

Reference Date (Assumed)Born On or AfterBorn On or Before
Notification date: 28 October 202628 October 199628 October 2005
Closing date: 23 November 202623 November 199623 November 2005
Safe under both readings23 November 199628 October 2005

If your date of birth falls inside the "safe under both" row, the missing cut-off date cannot hurt you. If you were born between 28 October 1996 and 22 November 1996, or between 29 October 2005 and 23 November 2005, your eligibility depends on which date the bank applies — confirm with the Administration Department in writing before applying.

CategoryUpper Age LimitRelaxation Stated?
General / EWS30 yearsNo
OBC30 yearsNo
SC / ST30 yearsNo
PwBD / Ex-servicemen30 yearsNo

Why no relaxation? Government reservation and age-relaxation rules attach to appointments and posts. The circular expressly states that the internship is neither employment nor an assurance of employment, which is the most likely reason no relaxation is offered. This is our interpretation; the documents do not give a reason.

We break down age calculation scenarios, the documents accepted as proof of date of birth, and how other state cooperative banks set their cut-off dates in our DDSCB Cooperative Intern Age Limit 2026 explainer.

7. Remuneration, Leave and What ₹25,000 Really Means

The intern receives a consolidated ₹25,000 per month. DDSCB pays it and is reimbursed by NCDC from the Cooperative Education Fund of the Ministry of Cooperation. Travelling and daily allowances (TA/DA) are paid separately by the bank from its own funds. "Consolidated" means there is no DA, HRA, pay matrix level or annual increment.

The Cost of an Unpaid Day

Once your 10 days of Casual Leave are used up, every extra day away is "leave without remuneration". If the bank pro-rates on a 30-day month, each such day costs about ₹833; a single unpaid week costs roughly ₹5,800. Exact deduction depends on the bank's payroll method — our figure is an illustration, not a quoted rate. Candidates planning to appear for other exams or interviews during the year should factor this in.

Tax Note: The full-year amount of ₹3,00,000 is below the basic exemption limit under the new income-tax regime as it stands for recent financial years, so most interns are unlikely to owe tax on this amount alone. How a stipend is classified and any TDS practice depend on your overall income — consult a tax professional for your situation.

To see how ₹25,000 compares with other cooperative intern seats, the realistic monthly budget for living in Diu, and how TA/DA claims typically work in cooperative banks, read our DDSCB Cooperative Intern Stipend and Benefits 2026 breakdown.

8. Application Fee

The notification prescribes no application fee and does not ask for a demand draft, postal order or online payment. Your only costs are printing, attestation, a passport-size colour photograph and postage.

CategoryApplication FeePayment Mode
All categoriesNilNot applicable

Fraud Alert: DDSCB has not asked for any fee. If anyone requests money to "register", "process" or "guarantee selection" for this internship, it is not from the bank. Report it to the bank's Administration Department on 0260-2255984.

9. Selection Process: What to Expect

Neither the DDSCB notice nor the NABARD circular prescribes a selection method. The circular only instructs the State Cooperative Bank to advertise yearly with clear eligibility and terms, and to complete hiring quickly. There is no written examination announced, so there is no syllabus or exam pattern for this recruitment.

In practice, other apex banks running the same scheme have shortlisted applicants on paper and then held a personal interview — West Bengal's StCB, for instance, informed shortlisted candidates individually of the interview date and venue and paid no travel allowance for attending. The sequence below reflects that common pattern and should be read as a likely process, not a confirmed one.

1
Receipt and Scrutiny

Applications reaching the Nani Daman Head Office by the deadline are checked for degree specialisation, age and the enclosed self-attested documents. Incomplete or late applications are rejected at this stage.

2
Shortlisting

Eligible candidates may be ranked on academic record, relevant project work and evidence of computer skills. Because only one seat exists, a short list of a few candidates is the likely outcome.

3
Interview or Interaction

A personal interview at the Head Office is the most common approach under this scheme. Expect questions on the cooperative credit structure, PACS computerisation, Ministry of Cooperation initiatives and your knowledge of the Diu region.

4
Document Verification and Engagement Letter

Original certificates are verified and the selected candidate receives an internship engagement letter for one year, with posting in Diu District.

Interview Preparation Tip: Be ready to explain the three-tier cooperative credit structure and why DDSCB works without DCCBs and PACS, the national PACS computerisation project, the role of NABARD versus NCDC, and one practical idea for strengthening cooperatives in a small coastal district like Diu.

We cover realistic interview questions, how shortlisting has worked at other state cooperative banks under this scheme, and the documents to carry for verification in our DDSCB Cooperative Intern Selection Process 2026 guide.

10. Roles and Duties: What the Diu Intern Will Actually Do

The NABARD circular describes the intern's job in three lines: coordinate with PACS and other primary cooperatives to implement Ministry of Cooperation initiatives; solve PACS problems in computerisation, business plans, projects, financing and approvals; and send weekly status reports. That description assumes a bank with PACS under it. DDSCB states on its own website that it has no affiliated DCCBs or PACS, so the Diu role is unlikely to look like an intern posting in, say, a Maharashtra or Uttar Pradesh DCCB.

Duty in the NABARD CircularTypical DCCB PostingLikely Reality in Diu (Our Analysis)
Coordinate with PACS and other primary cooperativesVisits to dozens of village PACSWork with non-credit primary cooperatives (for example fisheries or consumer societies) and the UT cooperative department
Solve PACS computerisation problemsHands-on support for the national PACS ERP rolloutLimited direct PACS work; more likely branch-level digital adoption and customer-facing digital services
Business plans, projects, financing, approvalsPACS diversification and loan proposalsProject and business-plan support for local cooperatives seeking bank finance
Weekly status report to DCCB/StCBReports routed via the DCCBDirect reporting to DDSCB, likely through the Diu Regional Office

The right-hand column is our interpretation of how the circular's duties map onto a bank without PACS; the bank decides the actual assignments, and the circular allows it to post or transfer interns according to functional requirements. For an applicant, the practical point is to show versatility in your bio-data — project preparation, financial analysis, digital adoption and field coordination — rather than claiming only PACS-specific experience.

Context: An NCUI statistical profile cited in a Lok Sabha reply listed only two PACS for the entire merged UT of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, against tens of thousands nationally. The cooperative credit footprint here is genuinely small, which shapes the work an intern can do.

Key Takeaway: Expect a generalist, report-driven role across DDSCB's 4 Diu branches and local cooperatives rather than a PACS-heavy field job. Tailor your application to project work, digital banking and coordination skills.

11. How to Apply Offline: Step-by-Step

There is no online form and no prescribed application format. You write your own bio-data on plain paper, attach self-attested certificates and a recent colour passport photograph, and send the set so that it reaches the General Manager (ADM) at the Nani Daman Head Office by 5:00 PM on 23 November 2026.

1
Read the NABARD Circular

The bank explicitly tells candidates to study the circular dated 15.03.2024 before applying. It is attached to the notice on the bank's website and contains every substantive rule.

2
Prepare a Plain-Paper Bio-Data

Use A4 sheets, typed rather than handwritten, and follow the structure in the table below. Sign and date the last page.

3
Collect Self-Attested Copies

Sign each photocopy as "self-attested" with the date. The notice asks for proof of age, eligibility, educational qualification and experience.

4
Affix a Recent Colour Photograph

Paste a latest passport-size colour photograph on the first page of the bio-data and sign across its lower edge so it cannot be swapped.

5
Superscribe and Address the Envelope

Write "Application for the post of Cooperative Intern – Diu District (Notification No. 01/2026-27)" on the envelope, addressed to The General Manager (ADM), The Daman & Diu State Cooperative Bank Ltd., Head Office, H. No. 14/54, 1st Floor, Dilipnagar, Nani Daman – 396210.

6
Dispatch with Tracking

Use Speed Post, Registered Post or a tracked courier, or deliver by hand and ask for a dated acknowledgement. Keep the receipt and tracking number until the selection is announced.

Suggested Bio-Data Structure

Because the bank prescribes no format, a clean and complete bio-data does the work an application form normally would. This is the structure we recommend:

Diu Posting, Daman Address: The internship is in Diu, but the application must go to the Head Office in Nani Daman. The two districts are separated by the Gulf of Khambhat and lie several hundred kilometres apart by road. Candidates living in Diu should not hand their application to a Diu branch unless the bank confirms in writing that branches will forward it in time.

For a field-by-field walkthrough of the bio-data, a photograph and attestation checklist, and dispatch timelines from different regions of India, see our How to Apply for DDSCB Cooperative Intern 2026 guide.

12. Common Mistakes That Get Applications Rejected

Offline, format-free applications fail for avoidable reasons. These are the errors most likely to cost you the single seat:

MistakeConsequenceFix

13. Terms and Conditions Decoded

The NABARD circular sets strict conditions that every candidate should accept knowingly. In plain language:

  • Not a job: The internship is not employment and creates no right or claim to any appointment with DDSCB or any associated institution.
  • Full-time: Interns follow the bank's working hours; it cannot be combined with another job or a regular course.
  • Termination at any time: The bank may end the internship without any financial benefit for unsatisfactory performance or unauthorised absence, and may also terminate it without giving reasons.
  • Confidentiality: Bank documents, reports, business plans and policies that are not public must not be disclosed; breach can carry legal consequences.
  • Media and social media: Interns may not speak to the media or represent the bank, and may not post their work on social platforms without permission from the competent authority.
  • Conduct: Interns follow DDSCB's rules and are expected to behave professionally with the bank and the public; the bank is responsible for the intern's conduct and data access.
  • Administration: NCDC administers the scheme with State/UT Governments, and NABARD monitors implementation executed by StCBs.

The Scheme-Validity Question

The circular says the scheme is valid for three years. Counted from the circular date of 15 March 2024, that window would close around March 2027, while an intern joining in December 2026 would serve until about December 2027. The documents do not say whether the three years run from the circular date or from the first hiring, or whether funding is guaranteed for a term that crosses the window. This is our reading of a genuine uncertainty — it is reasonable to ask the bank at interview whether the full twelve months of remuneration is assured.

Key Takeaway: Treat this as a one-year, terminable, confidential, full-time learning engagement. Its value lies in experience and network, not in job security.

14. Is This Internship Worth Applying For?

The DDSCB Cooperative Intern seat suits a fresh MBA graduate who wants a paid year inside a regulated bank and the cooperative ecosystem, and who is comfortable relocating to Diu. It suits less well someone who needs job security, wants a large peer cohort, or is preparing full-time for competitive exams.

Apply If You…Think Twice If You…

15. Frequently Asked Questions

Below are the questions candidates ask most often about the DDSCB Cooperative Intern Recruitment 2026. If your question is not answered here, refer to the official notification and the NABARD circular on the Daman & Diu State Co-operative Bank's website, or contact its Administration Department.

DDSCB Cooperative Intern 2026 — 1 Seat (Diu) | Reach by 23 Nov Official Notice

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The application must physically reach the Head Office of the Daman & Diu State Co-operative Bank in Nani Daman by 5:00 PM on 23 November 2026. The posting date does not count — applications arriving after the deadline are rejected. Dispatch by about 15 November with tracking to be safe.

There is exactly one Cooperative Intern seat, posted in Diu District, for one year. DDSCB has no affiliated DCCBs, so under the NABARD scheme it can engage only a single intern.

The intern receives a consolidated ₹25,000 per month (₹3,00,000 for a full year), reimbursed to the bank by NCDC from the Cooperative Education Fund. TA/DA for official travel is paid separately by the bank. There is no DA, HRA, PF or increment.

The NABARD circular names only Marketing, Cooperative, Agri-Business and Rural Development Management. A Finance-only or HR-only MBA is not listed, so a strict reading excludes it. A dual specialisation that includes a named stream is likely acceptable. Seek written clarification from the bank before applying.

The circular allows an "MBA or equivalent" but does not define equivalence. An AICTE-approved PGDM in a named specialisation (such as PGDM-ABM or a Marketing major) is very likely to be accepted, as is common in public notices. Attach marksheets that clearly show the specialisation.

Candidates must be 21 to 30 years old. Neither the notice nor the NABARD circular states the date on which age is calculated. If you were born between 23 November 1996 and 28 October 2005, you qualify whether the bank uses the notification date or the closing date.

No age relaxation is mentioned in either the DDSCB notice or the NABARD circular. The upper limit of 30 years applies to all categories, most likely because the internship is expressly not an employment or appointment.

Applications are offline only. Prepare a typed bio-data on plain paper, attach self-attested copies of age, qualification and experience documents and a recent colour passport photo, and send it to The General Manager (ADM), The Daman & Diu State Cooperative Bank Ltd., H. No. 14/54, 1st Floor, Dilipnagar, Nani Daman – 396210. No application fee is charged.

Neither the notice nor the circular specifies a method, and no written exam has been announced. Other state cooperative banks under the same scheme have shortlisted applications and held a personal interview, so candidates should prepare for an interview on cooperative banking, PACS computerisation and Ministry of Cooperation initiatives.

No. The NABARD circular states the internship is neither employment nor an assurance of employment, and interns have no claim to any appointment. The bank can also end the internship at any time, including without assigning reasons.

The circular assigns PACS coordination, computerisation support, business plans and weekly reporting. Since DDSCB states it has no affiliated PACS or DCCBs, the Diu role is likely to focus on local cooperatives, project and business-plan support, branch-level digital adoption and reporting to the bank — the exact assignments are decided by DDSCB.

The bank's working website is ddscbl.bank.in. The notification prints "ddcsbl.bank.in" with the letters transposed — use the ddscbl spelling to check for shortlist and interview updates.
