1. Introduction — CWC Recruitment 2026 at a Glance
Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) is recruiting for 327 permanent posts: 171 Assistant Manager vacancies across six disciplines and 156 Junior Executive vacancies across two streams. Applications are accepted online only at cewacor.nic.in from 17 October 2026 to 15 November 2026, under Advertisement No. CWC/I-Manpower/DR/Rectt/2026/01.
The Assistant Manager posts (Post Codes 01–06) sit in the E-1 executive scale of ₹40,000–1,40,000. They are filled through an online test, then document verification with an interview, and final merit is weighted 85% exam and 15% interview. The Junior Executive posts (Post Codes 07–08) sit in the S-V scale of ₹29,000–93,000. They have no interview: selection rests on the online test, followed by document verification at CWC's Corporate Office in New Delhi. Every post in Table-A uses the same three-hour, 230-mark online examination, with ¼-mark negative marking and a compulsory English descriptive test.
This guide covers the full notification. Beyond the basics, it explains the rules that most commonly disqualify applicants: the ban on final-year students, the exclusion of CA articleship from experience, the OBC-NCL certificate issue-date window, the ex-servicemen age formula for Junior Executive posts, the four mandatory scanned uploads, and the exam-day dress code.
Editorial Note: This article is prepared by the Vacancy Vedika Editorial Team from the official CWC Advertisement No. CWC/I-Manpower/DR/Rectt/2026/01 dated 17 October 2026. All figures, dates and rules have been cross-checked against the notification. CWC may issue corrigenda on its website. If anything here differs from the official notice, the official English version prevails. Last reviewed: 2 November 2026.
Deadline Alert: Registration and fee payment both close on 15 November 2026. CWC warns that the website may slow down near the deadline and accepts no responsibility for failed submissions, so apply several days early and save your e-Receipt.
2. About Central Warehousing Corporation
Central Warehousing Corporation is a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Government of India. It runs scientific storage for agricultural produce, inputs and other notified commodities. It also operates logistics infrastructure for import-export cargo, including Container Freight Stations (CFSs), Inland Container Depots (ICDs), Land Custom Stations and Air Cargo Complexes.
For recruits, this means the work is a mix of warehouse operations, grain quality control and pest management, finance, and civil, electrical and mechanical engineering upkeep of storage and terminal assets. That mix explains why the Technical syllabus leans so heavily on fumigation, storage fungi and grain standards. CWC's facilities are spread across more than 30 States and Union Territories, from Kandla and Mundra ports in Gujarat to Drass and Zanskar in Ladakh.

4. Vacancy Details — Post-Wise & Category-Wise
CWC has notified 327 vacancies across 8 post codes. They split into 171 Assistant Manager posts (52%) and 156 Junior Executive posts (48%). Assistant Manager (General) has the most posts with 70, while the two Junior Executive streams have 78 each.

* Includes backlog vacancies. Assistant Manager (Engg.) – Civil has 2 backlog SC posts on top of 1 current SC post. The PwBD backlog figures for Finance, Civil, Electrical and both Junior Executive streams are included in the PwBD column. PwBD and Ex-Servicemen reservations are horizontal: they sit inside the UR/EWS/OBC/SC/ST counts, not on top of them.
Category-wise, Unreserved accounts for 140 posts (42.8%), followed by OBC with 97 (29.7%), SC with 40 (12.2%), EWS with 30 (9.2%) and ST with 20 (6.1%). Ex-Servicemen get a horizontal reservation of 11 posts each in Junior Executive (General) and Junior Executive (Technical), 22 in total. No Assistant Manager post has an Ex-Servicemen quota.

A PwBD candidate can still apply if the post is identified as suitable for their disability sub-category, and age relaxation still applies.
5. Eligibility Criteria — Qualification & Nationality
Every CWC post requires a completed qualification with the final mark sheet or certificate issued on or before 15 November 2026. Final-year and final-semester students cannot apply. Only Assistant Manager (Finance) also demands work experience, in some cases.

Four Qualification Rules That Cause Rejection
- No final-year candidates: eligibility is judged from the issue date of the final mark sheet or certificate. A result declared after 15 November 2026 disqualifies you, even if the exam was written earlier.
- CGPA/SGPA/OGPA must be converted: enter an equivalent percentage in the form. At document verification you must produce a university certificate stating its grade-to-percentage conversion norm.
- Exact degree names only: CWC accepts only the qualifications listed in the advertisement. Your mark sheet must clearly show the degree name, specialisation and division or percentage, or you must bring a university certificate confirming them.
- CA articleship is excluded: for Assistant Manager (Finance) Option A, articleship years do not count toward the 3 years of experience.
Nationality
A candidate must be one of the following: a citizen of India; a subject of Nepal or Bhutan; a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 to settle permanently; or a person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or specified East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia) to settle permanently. Everyone except Indian citizens needs a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
Warning: Your category cannot be changed after registration. Results are processed only under the category you select in the online form. An OBC candidate in the creamy layer must apply as General (UR).
6. Age Limit & Relaxation
The age limit for all 8 CWC posts is 18 to 28 years as on 15 November 2026. An Unreserved candidate must have been born between 16 November 1998 and 15 November 2008, both dates inclusive. Reserved categories get relaxation on top of this, but combined relaxations can never take anyone past 55 years.
| Category | Relaxation | Effective Upper Age | Born On or After |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unreserved / EWS | – | 28 years | 16 November 1998 |
| OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) | 3 years | 31 years | 16 November 1995 |
| SC / ST | 5 years | 33 years | 16 November 1993 |
| PwBD (UR / EWS) | 10 years | 38 years | 16 November 1988 |
| PwBD + OBC (NCL) | 13 years | 41 years | 16 November 1985 |
| PwBD + SC / ST | 15 years | 43 years | 16 November 1983 |
| Commissioned Officers incl. ECOs/SSCOs (min. 5 years military service) | 5 years | 33 years (UR) | Subject to Govt. ceiling |
| Ex-Servicemen (JE posts 07 & 08) | Age minus military service ≤ limit + 3 | See formula below | – |
| Persons affected by 1984 riots | 5 years | 33 years (UR) | 16 November 1993 |
The Ex-Servicemen Formula for Junior Executive Posts
For Junior Executive (General) and Junior Executive (Technical), CWC does not use a flat relaxation for Ex-Servicemen. Instead, the candidate subtracts their actual period of military service from their actual age on 15 November 2026. The result must not exceed the prescribed limit by more than 3 years: 31 for UR, 34 for OBC and 36 for SC/ST. For example, a 38-year-old UR veteran with 10 years of service has a resultant age of 28, which is within 31, so they are eligible. "Call-up service" counts as military service. Children and dependants of Ex-Servicemen get no age concession.
Other Age Rules Worth Knowing
- Stacking: SC/ST/OBC relaxation can be combined with one of the other categories (PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, Commissioned Officers or 1984 riots).
- Departmental candidates: regular CWC employees can claim relaxation only if they will still have at least 5 years of service left on 15 November 2026.
- Reserved candidates applying for UR posts: if a post has no vacancy for your category, you may apply against UR posts but get no age relaxation. SC, ST, PwBD, women and Ex-Servicemen candidates still keep the fee exemption.
- PwBD: the 10-year concession applies whether or not the post is PwBD-reserved, provided it is identified as suitable for your disability.
- Serving soldiers: personnel due for release within one year of 15 November 2026 qualify, but must show at document verification that they will be relieved on or before 15 November 2027.
OBC-NCL Certificate Window: The OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate must be based on income for FY 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26, and must be issued between 1 April 2026 and 15 November 2026. An older certificate, even one from March 2026, will not be accepted. EWS candidates need an Income & Asset Certificate for FY 2025-26 that is valid for 2026-27, held by 15 November 2026.
7. Salary, Benefits, Bond & Posting
A CWC Assistant Manager starts at a basic pay of ₹40,000 in the E-1 IDA scale (₹40,000–1,40,000). A Junior Executive starts at ₹29,000 in the S-V IDA scale (₹29,000–93,000). Both scales follow the Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA) pattern used by Central PSUs, not the 7th CPC pay matrix.
Pay Structure
On top of basic pay and IDA, CWC's notification lists these benefits, each paid according to the Corporation's policies:
| Benefit | What It Covers |
|---|---|
| Allowances / Perks | Other allowances and special benefits under CWC policy |
| CPF | Contributory Provident Fund |
| Contributory Pension | Pension under the Corporation's contributory scheme |
| Gratuity | As admissible |
| LTC | Leave Travel Concession |
| Performance Related Pay / Variable Pay | As admissible |
| Medical | Reimbursement of OPD and hospitalisation costs for self and dependent family members |
About in-hand salary: The notification does not state a gross or in-hand figure. Take-home pay depends on the prevailing IDA rate, the HRA of your posting city, and deductions such as CPF and income tax. Treat any exact in-hand figure you see online as an estimate, not an official number.
Bond, Probation and Posting
- Service bond: Assistant Managers sign a ₹1,00,000 bond and Junior Executives a ₹50,000 bond to serve CWC for at least two years, at the time of joining.
- Probation: all appointees join on probation under CWC regulations.
- All India cadre: selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India or abroad. New employees may have to spend a set initial period at field units such as warehouses, CFSs and ICDs.
- Posting locations: Annexure-III lists tentative stations in 31 States and UTs. In Andhra Pradesh alone, they include Vizag, Guntur, Vijayawada, Kakinada, Nellore, Ongole and Renigunta. No candidate is guaranteed a particular station, and canvassing for a posting can lead to disqualification.
8. Application Fee & Payment Modes
Unreserved, EWS and OBC candidates pay ₹1,350 (₹850 application fee + ₹500 intimation charges). SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and all women candidates are exempt from the application fee but still pay ₹500 in intimation charges. Both amounts include GST, are non-refundable, and must be paid online. Payment gateway charges are extra.
| Category | Application Fee | Intimation Charges | Total Payable |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unreserved (UR) / EWS / OBC | ₹850 | ₹500 | ₹1,350 |
| SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen / Women (all categories) | Nil | ₹500 | ₹500 |
- Accepted modes: Debit Cards (RuPay, Visa, MasterCard, Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, UPI, IMPS, Cash Cards and Mobile Wallets.
- Not accepted: Demand Draft, Cheque or Postal Order.
- One fee per post: to apply for more than one post, you must submit a separate application and pay a separate fee for each.
- Duplicate applications: if you submit more than one application for the same post, only the latest completed application is kept and the fees paid for the others are forfeited.
Payment Failure Check: If no e-Receipt is generated, CWC treats the payment as failed. Log in again with your Provisional Registration Number and pay again. Do not press Back or Refresh while the server is processing, or you may be charged twice.
9. Selection Process & Final Merit Calculation
Assistant Managers are selected through Online Test → Document Verification + Interview, with final merit weighted 85:15 between exam and interview. Junior Executives are selected through Online Test → Document Verification only, with merit based purely on the online test score.
A three-hour computer-based test with 202 questions and 230 marks: 200 objective marks plus a 30-mark English descriptive test. Each section is separately timed, and wrong objective answers lose one-quarter of that question's marks.
You must clear a minimum score in every section and also a minimum total score. Scores from different sessions are equated using the equi-percentile method and reported to two decimal places.
Up to 5 candidates per vacancy are called for Assistant Manager posts, and up to 3 per vacancy for Junior Executive posts. For example, the 70 AM (General) seats can draw up to 350 interviewees, and the 78 JE (General) seats up to 234 candidates for document verification.
Held in Delhi. The interview carries 30 marks, and documents are verified at the same sitting. Exam scores are not shared with candidates until this stage is complete.
Held in person at CWC's Corporate Office in Delhi. Final selection is in order of online test marks, subject to clean verification.
Ties are broken by date of birth, with the older candidate ranked higher. A wait list of up to 100% of vacancies per category may be kept. Appointment also depends on medical fitness.
Minimum Qualifying Marks
| Component | Unreserved | EWS | OBC | SC / ST / PwBD / ESM |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Professional / Subject Knowledge (AM Tech, Finance, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical & JE Tech) | 40% | 35% | 35% | 35% |
| Descriptive Test — Language & Comprehension (all posts) | 40% (12/30) | 35% | 35% | 35% (10.5/30) |
| Interview (AM posts only, out of 30) | 50% (15) | 50% (15) | 45% (13.5) | 40% (12) |
Pro Tip: For Assistant Managers, the online exam carries 85% of final merit, so even a strong interview cannot fully make up for a weak test. Also note that EWS candidates face the same 50% interview pass mark as UR candidates, even though they get the relaxed 35% bar in the exam sections. CWC also reserves the right to raise or lower the sectional pass marks depending on how many candidates qualify.
10. Exam Pattern & Syllabus
All four CWC test formats have 202 questions, 230 marks and 3 hours, but the section weights differ sharply. The Assistant Manager specialist posts give 60 marks to Professional Knowledge. JE (Technical) gives 65 marks to Subject Knowledge. AM (General) and JE (General) have no subject paper and instead put more weight on Reasoning and Quant.

You can apply only through the Career @CWC (Direct Recruitment)-2026 link on cewacor.nic.in. Before you start, have four scanned images ready: your photograph, signature, left thumb impression and a hand-written declaration. You will also need an active personal email ID and mobile number.
Upload Specifications
| Document | Dimensions (Preferred) | File Size | Key Rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| Photograph | 200 × 230 px (4.5 cm × 3.5 cm) | 20–50 KB | Recent colour photo on a light background; no caps or dark glasses |
| Signature | 140 × 60 px | 10–20 KB | Black ink on white paper; NOT in capital letters |
| Left Thumb Impression | 240 × 240 px at 200 DPI (3 cm × 3 cm) | 20–50 KB | Black or blue ink on white paper; not smudged |
| Hand-written Declaration | 800 × 400 px at 200 DPI (10 cm × 5 cm) | 50–100 KB | In English, in your own handwriting, not in capitals |
| Live Photograph | Captured in the form | Auto | Taken by webcam or via a QR code on your phone; no mask or shadow |
The hand-written declaration is a one-sentence statement in which you name yourself, confirm that all information in the form is correct, true and valid, and undertake to produce supporting documents when asked. Copy the exact wording from Section G of the official notification. Candidates who cannot write may upload the typed declaration with their left thumb impression below it. If you do not have a left thumb, use your right thumb.
Go to cewacor.nic.in, open the Career @CWC (Direct Recruitment)-2026 link, and choose the option to apply online for Advertisement No. 2026/01.
Enter your name, contact details and email ID. The system generates a Provisional Registration Number and Password, which are also sent by email and SMS. Write them down.
Spell your name and your father's or husband's name exactly as they appear on your Class 10 certificate. Use Save and Next to work in parts, and validate the details as you go.
Upload the photograph, signature, left thumb impression and declaration, then capture your live photo. Check the preview and re-upload anything blurred or placed in the wrong slot.
Review the whole form in Preview before clicking Complete Registration. After this, nothing can be changed: not your name, category, date of birth, post, exam centre or contact details.
Open the Payment tab, pay online, wait for the e-Receipt, and then click Submit. Print the e-Receipt and the system-generated application form, and keep them. Do not post them to CWC.
Common Rejection Causes: a signature or declaration written in capital letters; the photo uploaded in the signature slot or vice versa; a declaration written by someone else or in a language other than English; a smudged thumb impression; and an unsuccessful fee payment. Any of these makes the application invalid.
